Nokian Vesi Oy is a water utility company operating in Nokia and owned by the City of Nokia. Over 30,000 residents live within our service area, and we employ 37 water management professionals.

Job description
As a treatment plant operator, you are responsible for the maintenance, process control, and reporting of wastewater treatment plants. You will utilize a modern automation system in your work and actively participate in ensuring the functionality of the process.
Your work will include, among other things:
- control and monitoring of the cleaning process
- maintenance and service tasks
- Reporting and documentation
- collaboration with the rest of the team
In addition, you will participate in the maintenance of wastewater pumping stations and be on call as needed.
You will initially work at the Kullaanvuori wastewater treatment plant and will transfer to the new treatment plant once it is completed in early 2027.
What we expect from you:
- Technical education (e.g., electrical, automation, process, or other relevant field)
- experience in water supply, industrial maintenance, or automation environments
- readiness for independent work and decision-making
- cooperative skills
- Basic IT skills
A B driver's license is essential for the position. A Class C driver's license is considered an asset.
This task values a hands-on approach, responsibility, and a willingness to learn.
In our new wastewater treatment plant, we will be using the latest technologies and automation. Therefore, we see interest and experience in the electrical and automation fields as an advantage.

- Working hours 40 hours / week
